A. Dean Earnest

A. Dean  Earnest, 93, of Country Ridge Road, Bedford died Monday, October 5, 2020 at his home.

Mr. Earnest was born in Napier Twp., on December 8, 1926, son of the late Floyd and S. Evelyn (Wonders) Earnest.

On December 8, 1947 Dean married Marian E. (Egolf) Earnest. She preceded him in death on April 10, 2006.

He is survived by Daughter- Vickie J. wife of  Gordon Roose, Bedford; Son- William D. Earnest, Bedford; Son- Richard E. Earnest, Bedford; Daughter- Rosemary wife of  Wilbur Imler, Manns Choice; Daughter- Linda J. Dull, Manns Choice; Son- Larry J. Earnest husband of  Dawn (Kesner) Earnest, Bedford; Sister- Shirley Ritchey, Everett and Sister- Carol Weyant, Raleigh, NC. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Dean was preceded in death by infant sister- Mary Jean, 4 brothers- Harry Irvin, Roy Clair, Wayne and Dale F. Earnest, 2 Sisters Pauline Skok and Madeline Mussante.

Dean served in the Army during WWII. He retired from Bethlehem Steel, Johnstown where he was a  Steel Worker.

He was a member of  St. Johns Christian Church, Cessna.

Dean enjoyed hunting and spending time in his garden gardening. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A private viewing will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.

A private funeral service will be held  at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg  on Thursday, October 8th  with Pastor Eric Larson officiating.

Interment at Fishertown Cemetery.
